Matina’s Bridal

“A Moment in Time”

Over the past 50 years, Matina’s Bridal has been a part of thousands of brides’ “one moment in time”.

Cultivating a welcoming place where brides open their hearts to find the perfect wedding gown isn’t easy.  For those brave enough to take on the challenge, it can be the most rewarding career that feels more like a blessing than a task.

The amazing women who comprised the team at Matina’s Bridal are nothing short of remarkable.  Together they created life-long memories through fashion sense, alterations, accessories, kindness, laughter and laser-like focus to every detail.  We’ve cried tears of joy and sadness, laughed belly laughs until we couldn’t breathe over these years.  But most of all we created a sacred bond:  with the brides we’ve dressed and with each other.

As we approach the end of 2024, we close the book on Matina’s Bridal.  We’ve had some incredible chapters, and those memories will live on.

I remember producing my first bridal show with Matina’s, the day I said yes to my perfect wedding gown with Mira and my mom by my side and signing on the dotted line to make this boutique my own.  I had no idea the curveballs life would send my way during the last 12 years (most especially a pandemic!), but looking back I wouldn’t change a thing.

Making the decision to close our doors at Eton was not an easy one.  But after a few heartfelt conversations with another local bridal boutique, I was able to make that choice and arrange to fulfill all our commitments currently in progress.

For those who said YES to the dress with us starting in Warren, Ohio to our last bride at Eton, I thank you.  To those who didn’t fall in love here but gave us a chance, thank you.  For those who never had the chance to have one moment in time at Matina’s Bridal, I’m sad for you.  You would have had a wonderful experience.

But most of all, I thank God for putting me on the path that brought me here and the strength to close the doors.

Thank you to our staff, designer partners, friends and families who contributed to the Matina’s dream in some way.  We could not have done it without you.

It is sad to imagine a world without Matina’s.  But memories last a lifetime and all of us here find comfort knowing the part we played in creating that “one moment in time” for so many beautiful young women.

With much love-
Julie Rauzan, owner and former Matina’s Bride
